Blood Chemistry Analysis Checklist

The following is a checklist that I go through during my Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis:

1. What is the gender of the patient. A number of elements have different optimal ranges based on the gender of the patient.
2. What elements are outside the normal reference range?
3. Is there any evidence of dehydration that might alter the interpretation?
4. Correct for the calcium value using serum albumin.
5. Is there any evidence of hypochlorhydria in this blood test? Gastric inflammation?
6. How is the protein digestion?
7. Is there an anemia in this patient? If so what mineral or nutrient is deficienct?
8. Is there liver/gallbladder dysfunction? If so, where is it?
9. How is this patient regulating their sugar levels? Any sign of metabolic syndrome?
10. Adrenal health? Any need for further adrenal testing?
11. How is the fat metabolism in this patient?
12. Any sign of oxidative stress?
13. Any kidney dysfunction?
14. Any sign of BPH in male patient?
15. Immune insufficiency?
