| Pregnancy presents an interesting challenge when
doing blood chemistry and CBC analysis. The demands placed upon
the body’s normal physiology and biochemistry during this
period of rapid growth and development will cause many of the values
to be outside of their optimal level. This should not necessarily
be viewed as indicative of a disease process. The following represents
some of the “normal” changes associated with pregnancy.
